Description:
Strong growing American hybrid with lilac pink flowers in late summer and autumn. Glossy dark green leaves are bronze when young.
Cultivation:
Fertile, well drained soil. Full sun or a little shade. Needs a fairly sheltered location with some protection from cold winds. Less hardy than A. x grandiflora.
If required, lightly prune back shoots after flowering.
Propagation:
By greenwood cuttings in early summer or semi-ripe cuttings in late summer.
